Text Box: Dear Central Church Friends, Grace and Peace to you all in the midst of the summer season. I pray you are finding some time for rest and renewal. I am spending much of the month of July at the Mercy Center in Burlingame participating in the Internship for Spiritual Direction. I promise a full report upon my return. Thanks to the Staff Parish Relations Committee for supporting me in this part of my journey. Thanks to my wife, Jackie, for doing “my jobs” at home so that I can be away. I also appreciate the support of the congregation. I am grateful to Alan Cook, Sandra Exelby, and Joe Krider for filling the pulpit while I am away. Thanks, too, to John McLaughlin of Holy Cross UMC for offering his pastoral care support. Thanks to Connie Edgecomb and all the staff for taking on extra duties so that I can be away. I know you have been and will be in good hands while I am at the Mercy Center. As schools schedules begin again we are reminded that our ministries will be back in full swing soon. Please check out other information in this edition of the Central Story. I look forward to returning to Central with renewed energy and a deeper sense of God’s spirit guiding our shared ministries.
