Does your schedule look something like this? I’d like to talk to you about Healthy Balance in our lives:
Why are we out of balance? 1) The human condition seems more aligned with chaos than with balance. 2) We live lives in which demands outpace our time or energy. 3) Our culture seems to over-value service to others and under-value care of ourselves. 4) We seem addicted to “quick-fixes” and not want to look for long term solutions.
How can I help stay in balance? 1) All we do should be done for the glory of God (I Cor. 10:31). 2) God has created all of life for our good. Rest and work are equally important dimensions of our life. 3) We are encouraged to not be overly concerned about things that are temporary. 4) Consider our current life in terms of energy investments, values and priorities. 5) Develop an action plan and live our lives with confidence!
NEXT MONTH’S TOPIC: Sleep (what is that?)
