Text Box: arrange a one time experience by making that call yourself. Otherwise, you are invited to join other Centralites on our regularly scheduled service day every other month. The remaining dates for this year are August 23, October 25, and Dec 20th. We arrive promptly at 9:15 a.m. and finish shortly after the doors close at 12 noon. You will be trained on the job. If you wish to volunteer and commit to one or all three of these dates, please call Ruth Stefanac, 478-1050 to sign up as we are limited to providing 6 workers on each of those days.

Text Box: The Emergency Food Bank is in dire need of dry goods such as rice, pasta, mac and cheese mixes, hamburger helpers, cake mixes, jello, crackers, tortillas, beans, etc. Of course, canned goods are always welcome also! Because of the heat and high gas prices, it's been more difficult for families and individuals to reach the EFB, yet come they must! Please choose a schedule and level of giving for your family and bring what you can comfortably (or sacrificially) spare to feed our neighbors who are struggling against hunger. Those who wish to volunteer at the EFB can do so by calling the EFB and asking to speak with Gail or Gary at 464-7369 - you can commit to an ongoing day each week or month (Tuesday through Saturday), or

Bevel: CENTRAL CONNECTION COMING IN AUGUST Pastor Dave lifted up the idea of Central Connection some time ago. The idea has not yet come to life. However, August is the time for Central Connection to be born. What is Central Connection you might be wondering . . . Central Connection will be a weekly reflection from Pastor Dave—from his current reading, events in the life of the church, the nurturing of spiritual disciplines, or other interests which might develop over time. Central Connection will be emailed weekly to interested folks. If you would like to join those who have already expressed interest in this weekly email reflection, simply email Pastor Dave at dave@cumcstkn.org and he will add you to the list. Feel free to give it a try. If Central Connection doesn’t meet your needs, you can easily (with no hard feelings on Pastor Dave’s part) request to be removed from the mailing list.
